India became the fourth country to achieve this feat and the first to land on the Moon’s south pole region. Following the success of Chandrayan 3, you might be curious about ISRO’s upcoming missions.

ISRO’s Upcoming Missions:

Aditya L1:
ISRO’s next significant mission, Aditya L1, is slated for launch in the upcoming month, likely in the first week of September. It marks India’s first dedicated mission to study the Sun, observing solar activities and contributing to our understanding of new solar theories.

NISAR:
NISAR, a joint mission between the US and India, features NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar. This Earth observation satellite will monitor various Earth activities, enhancing our comprehension of climate change, glaciation, deforestation, earthquakes, volcanoes, and more.

Gaganyan:
India’s inaugural space flight mission, Gaganyan, initially scheduled for 2020, faced delays due to the COVID pandemic. The plan is to send three crew members into a 400 km orbit for three days before safely returning them to Earth. Before this, ISRO will conduct two unmanned missions, expected in the upcoming year.

Mangalyaan 2:
Following the resounding success of India’s first interplanetary mission, Mangalyaan, ISRO is planning its second mission. The Mars Orbiter Mission 2 is anticipated to launch in 2024, focusing on studying the Martian crust and recent basalts on the Martian surface.

Shukrayaan 1:
Shukrayaan 1 is an upcoming Venus Orbiter Mission by ISRO, intended to study Venus’s geological and volcanic activities. Though planned for 2024, certain factors may cause a delay until 2031.

India’s Space Station:
Expected to be realized by the end of 2030, India’s space station represents a significant future endeavor for ISRO.
