Wonder Woman 1984 is the most awaited sequel of 2017’s Wonder Woman which was to be released on 2019 but was delayed and now it is scheduled on 25 December 2020 in India but has already been released in America. If there is a movie worth dragging yourself out of your COVID-19 induced isolation for, it is this one.

Cast and Crew

Kristen Wiig was very convincing as Cheetah and Pedro Pascal played a charismatic TV personality but failed businessman very well. Could have sworn that Maxwell Lord was DC Universe’s version of Trump. It’s great to see the chemistry between Diana Prince and Steve Trevor again which is a love story that literally transcends time. There were some heartbreaking moments, so it might be good to equip yourself with tissues.

Also, there are quite a number of Easter Eggs. During the show for those who know their Wonder Woman trivia well. Such as cameos from some surprising personalities as well as obscure references to Monkey Paws, a short story written by W. W. Jacobs (if it is not obvious enough for you, Wonder Woman can also be abbreviated into W. W.).

The movie revolves around the concept of truth. Which is also a nod to William Moulton Marston, the creator of Wonder Woman who also happens to be the inventor of the polygraph, aka the lie detector. There is a mid-credits scene but no after credits.
